I hate day shifts. The sun is so bright and warm. The world seems so happy. If I had a heart I might care for such things. Pfft, life, what a waste of time.
You might be surprised to know that my day actually started quite well that is, if you cared. Because you see, no one cares anymore. Personally, I don't think anyone ever did. But who am I to talk about caring when I have no heart or blood or warmth. It's always so cold, but you get used to it after a while. It's the warmth I hate. I can't stand it.

A beam of sunlight filtered through the concave glass sphere that surrounded me, and onto the vibrant green grasses and shrubs that I now called home, casting warped rays of light, that wormed in and out of rainbows, onto everything around me. It was warm, but not overly so they never let it get too hot or too cold, except for that one time when the heater broke, and we needed to wear coats for about a week until the climate was restored. I sat, eating a bacon, cheese, and lettuce sandwich, enjoying the sunlight.
